Join your fellow Illuminaughty members for an unforgettable, adults-only, 5 night Halloween cruise on Virgin’s Brilliant Lady in October 2026 departing from Los Angeles! This is not a complete take-over. Illuminaughty will have a large group on the ship and you will have the freedom to join the Illuminaughty festivities as much or as little as you like.
We will have a group hotel reservation available Friday night near the port and will host a Friday night Cocktail Mixer where everyone can grab drinks and meet your fellow sailors. The ship departs on Saturday, October 24 at 5:00pm and returns to LA on October 29th.
Halloween Cruise to Ensenada on Virgin Voyages – October 24-29, 2026
Virgin is famous for it’s adult-only, stylish, playful, sexy, and sometimes raunchy vibes aboard the ship. It’s an experience unlike any other cruise line. Their all-inclusive format avoids the annoying nickel & diming of other cruise ships and everything except alcohol (and specialty drinks like espresso or Red Bull) is included in the ticket price and paid up-front. The dining experiences are elevated, activities and shows are exciting and targeted at adults, crew is fun and curtious, and they have themed evening parties (like Pajama Party, 80s night, Y2K party, etc.) on most nights plus the wild Scarlet Night party that takes over the entire rooftop pool deck.
This Halloween theme cruise will also feature a Halloween night where all 2000+ sailors are decked out in costume. You don’t want to miss this!
Dining & Cocktails
The Brilliant Lady ship is packed with delicious food and beverage options, from 5 course fine dining, to tapas or pasta. There are 20 something bars, several coffee shops, 5 unique restaurants plus a pizza shop and the massive galley that is always full of a huge variety of options including sushi, deserts, breakfast, burgers, tacos, salads, and noodles.
Entertainment
There is more entertainment on board than you can possibly fit into one trip. Music shows, comedy, cocktail classes, yoga, acrobatics, a casino, and more. The show and activity schedule is non-stop and you can pack in as many things as you want; hit the gym and workout classes, or spend your time relaxing by the pool with a cocktail. It’s totally up to you.
There are also a variety of shore excursions available at each port such as snorkeling, soaking in the sun at a beach club, or taking an off-road ATV tour.
We will also plan special Illuminaughty group gatherings throughout the cruise and group shore events at each port to maximize connection and fun throughout the trip. We will have an Illuminaughty play party off the ship on the San Diego port day…more details to come!
All Illumianughty group activities will be optional, we want you to enjoy the cruise your way. You can join the community for as many or as few activities as you’d like. Any onboard group activities are included with your Virgin Voyages cabin fare. Any group shore excursions and play party will have an additional cost.
Cabins & Suites
Virgin has the most stylish, modern, and sexy cabins and suites of any cruise line. Even their solo inside cabins are beautiful designed and decorated. There are inexpensive Insider rooms, Sea Terrace balcony rooms, ADA rooms, and stunning Rockstar and Mega Rockstar suites, some with their own massive balconies and even a private hot tub. The balcony rooms are amazing, but with so much to do on the ship, you may hardly be in your room and an inside cabin is also a great choice.
– Illuminaughty Group Discount –
When booking with our group, you will receive a 10% discount on your cabin if you book a Central Sea Terrace, or regular The Sea Terrace cabin (other Seat Terrace cabins like Lock It In, XL, and Small Balcony do not count for the 10% discount). In order to be eligible for the 10% discount, you must book the room and pay your deposit at least 180 days before the sailing date (book the room before April 27, 2026).
This 10% discount will not show on the booking page and will apply AFTER you put down your deposit and we confirm your booking with our group. Once confirmed in our group, you will be able to see the 10% discount applied before you pay your balance in full.
On-board Communication
We are currently beta testing our Illuminaughty mobile app and will be launching it very soon for all members. It will allow you to keep in touch with our team and other members leading up to the cruise, aboard the ship, and after you return home. You’ll always know what events are happening never miss a connection.
What to Bring/Wear
October weather in Southern California and Ensenada is dreamy. Expect sunny, warm days in the 70s and 80s and cool nights in the 60s. There are multiple pools and hot tubs on board the ship and lots of beaches on the port days. You may want some workout clothes to hit the gym, some daytime activewear for a shore excursion, and plenty of sunblock and bathing suits. We will share some additional packing tips and tricks later.
All Virgin cruises will feature a variety of theme dress nights, and the schedule for these nights is generally released a few weeks to a few months before sailing. Common themes to be prepared for are Pajama Party on the first night, 80s night, Y2K party, Scarlet Night (all red), and of course, this is a Halloween cruise so a Halloween costume night with costume contest is to be expected.
Even though the entire ship will not be Illuminaughty members, the entire ship is adults-only, so you’re welcome to dress sexy as long as all your goodies are covered. Bikinis and man-thongs are fine if that floats your boat, so it’s really up to you.

To join the cruise with our group and receive our group discounts, perks, and join our group activities, you must book your room using our Book Your Cabin link below. To lock in your cabin and price, you only need to start a payment plan or pay the 20% deposit.
If you’d like to confirm all of your options before you pay your deposit, there’s an option to hold your booking for 24 hours on the final confirmation page. You can also use this option and we can see and confirm all of your discounts and add-ons.

Our Recommendations

- We strongly recommend booking an Essential or Premium fare. The included Wifi is much better, you get to book dinner reservations sooner (they fill up quickly), and you get some options to cancel or change the booking if something comes up. We also cannot specify your room, so if you book a Base fare, we will not be able to assign your cabin # to put you close to other Illuminaughty members in the ship. If you book Essential or Premium, we will assign you an optimum cabin near the rest of our group.

- Buy some bar tab when you book. It’s worth it to pre-buy most of your bar tab and get the free bonus. Drinks are reasonably priced on the ship, but it’s easy for a couple to spend $500-$1000 on drinks in 5 days with partying every night, mimosas by the pool, and specialty drinks/coffees. You get a good bonus when you pre-buy.

When you choose your ticket, it lets us know you’ve booked your cabin and we will confirm that your cabin booking with Virgin Voyages is correct and added to our group with your discounts applied. Then we will confirm your ticket and you will get email confirmation.

We will host a cocktail mixer at a restaurant/bar nearby on Friday night (if you’re local or staying somewhere else, you’re still welcome to join us for the mixer).

Depending on which fare you purchase, you have until 120 days before the sail date to cancel or pay in full. If you cancel your booking, your deposit becomes future voyage credit with Virgin.
