Week 1: Foundations

Boundaries, Agreements, and Communication

Date: Tuesday, March 4th 7-9pm PST
Facilitator: Scott Catamas

A strong foundation is the key to thriving in ENM, and this week will equip you with essential tools to establish and maintain healthy relationships. You’ll learn how to set clear personal boundaries, create relationship agreements that reflect your needs and desires, and communicate effectively to ensure clarity and trust between you and your partners. This session will introduce practical techniques like active listening, “I” statements, and conflict resolution strategies that will help you navigate discussions with confidence. Whether you are new to ENM or have years of experience, this week will provide a structured framework to support your relationships and give you tools to approach conversations with intentionality.

    Week 2: Exploring Fantasies

    Creating a Shared Vision

Date: Thursday, March 13th 7-9pm PST
    Facilitator: Dr. Alison Ash

Desire is a powerful force in relationships, but discussing fantasies can sometimes feel vulnerable or intimidating. This week, we’ll focus on creating a safe space to explore your desires and express them with confidence. You’ll learn how to share fantasies in a way that fosters deeper intimacy while respecting the comfort levels of everyone involved. We’ll also discuss what to do when desires don’t align—how to navigate differences with curiosity instead of fear and find creative ways to honor both personal needs and relational agreements. Through structured exercises, you’ll begin crafting a shared vision with your partner(s), opening new pathways to pleasure and connection.

      Week 3: Navigating Jealousy

      Conquering Difficult Emotions

Date: Tuesday, March 18th 7-9pm PST
Facilitators: Dr. Chandra Khalifian & Dr. Kayla Knopp

Jealousy, insecurity, and comparison are natural emotional factors that arise in any relationship structure, but in ENM, learning to recognize, process, and reframe these feelings is especially important. This week, we’ll break down why jealousy happens, what it’s telling you, and how to use it as a tool for personal growth rather than a source of conflict. You’ll gain practical strategies for self-regulation, emotional processing, and shifting from reactive to intentional responses. This session also explores other difficult emotions that can surface in ENM—like fear of abandonment, insecurity, or feeling “less than” a partner’s other connections—offering mindfulness practices and communication tools to build resilience and strengthen your emotional well-being.

Week 4: ENM in the Wild

        Preparing for Challenges in-Person

Date: Tuesday, March 25th 7-9pm PST
        Facilitator: Nori Crain

Practicing ENM or attending ENM events can be exciting, but it also comes with unique dynamics that require preparation and intentionality. This week, we’ll cover everything you need to know to feel confident and prepared for a date or an event. We’ll cover etiquette and logistics, practical language for handling situations and communicating interest or disinterest, and managing expectations and aftercare. You’ll also learn how to recognize and navigate common relationship challenges, including what to do if an agreement is broken, how to communicate about unmet expectations, and strategies for handling unexpected feelings that may arise. Whether you’re preparing for your first event or looking to refine your approach, this week will ensure you walk in (and out) of an event feeling grounded, prepared, and empowered.

          In-Person Practice

          (Optional)

          Date: Sunday, March 30th

This week, it’s time to put all of this work into practice! Join your fellow Illuminaughty members face-to-face at a special social mixer in your local region to share experiences, deepen bonds, and celebrate your journey in a welcoming, supportive environment. Or, setup a date on your own time before the next class, that suits your relationship and desires. Practice what we’ve learned, discuss boundaries and desires, work on communication, and have fun exploring and experimenting.

Next week, we’ll discuss how it went and what we all learned.

            Week 5: Group Discussion

            Challenges, Wins, and Insights

Date: Tuesday, April 1st 7-9pm PST
            Facilitator: Nori Crain

No one thrives in ENM alone—building a strong support network is crucial for success. This week is designed as a community-focused discussion, where you’ll have the opportunity to connect with others, share about your in-person experience, and gain insight from fellow Illuminaughty members. Through guided discussions and breakout groups, we’ll explore common themes, challenges, and breakthroughs in ENM, allowing you to learn from a diversity of perspectives. This session is a chance to reflect on your journey, celebrate progress, and find solidarity in a community that understands the nuances of ENM.

              Week 6: Integration

              Self-Care and Building Community

Date: Tuesday, April 8th 7-9pm PST
              Facilitator: Emily Orum

Flourishing in ENM isn’t just about your relationships—it’s also about your individual growth and well-being. This week, we’ll focus on personal self-care practices, maintaining emotional balance, and ensuring that your relationship dynamics support your long-term happiness. You’ll explore how to balance independence and connection, develop practices for emotional resilience, and integrate ENM into your life in a way that aligns with your personal values. This final session includes a reflection exercise to help you set personal and relational goals moving forward and a closing circle to celebrate the progress you’ve made throughout the series.

This program is more than just learning—it’s about creating a thriving, supportive, and empowered ENM experience. Each week builds on the last, providing you with the foundational skills, tools, and insights to deepen your relationships, strengthen your communication, and navigate challenges with confidence. Plus, with opportunities to meet other Illuminaughty members in person, you’ll have a chance to turn these connections into lasting friendships and support networks.
