BEDROOM TIES SHIBARI WORKSHOP – DURHAM, NC
Come together with your fellow Illuminaughty members for an exciting and sensual evening with Shibari instructors Aaron and Joy for a special workshop on bedroom ties. This beginner-friendly workshop is for couples or singles who want to dive into the art of rope tying in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Discover stunning, comfortable ties designed to enhance intimacy and elevate your sensual exploration. This captivating experience covers essential safety, communication, and foundational knots, offering you a seductive entry into the enchanting world of shibari art and connection. There will be 2 hours of interactive instruction and an hour of supervised free-play time. Come play with us!
We will do our best to gender balance the event and encourage couples or solo participants to attend. We will assist solos in finding a partner at the event but will also offer self-tying modifications.
We will provide rope that you can use during the class, or you are welcome to bring your own.
Light refreshments will be included.
DRESS CODE
Dress comfortably, but tight fitting clothing or underwear is recommended to enable free movement and enhance the sensation of rope against your skin. Wear your favorite yoga pants or shorts and tank top, sports bra, lingerie, or go topless (please wear street clothes or an overcoat and change at the event if you plan to wear lingerie). Pants or panties (bottoms) are required.

What is Illuminaughty?
Illuminaughty is a curated community that is known for the caliber of our members and the unique welcoming and playful environment we create. There are no expectations and our focus is on safety and consent to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Most of our members are in their 30s, and we don’t hire any models, performers, or influencers to be at our events. All of the beautiful, kind, and inspiring people who show up are members who are there connect with like-minded souls.
